Can Broadcasting Be Done With Censorship?

Freedom of the press in our country is increasingly in trouble. Not a day goes by without a new ban, a new suspension, or a closure. Each day is worse than the last. The topics of newspapers and news programs today were all about the latest situations regarding what the bans would be. Newspapers or TVs are not punished with bans. On the contrary, the public's freedom to access information is being hindered and restricted. This situation will be enough to push us to the back ranks, even among third-world countries.
What is the Purpose of Bans?
Whatever is intended and expected from press and broadcasting bans, the opposite seems to be happening. People are more curious about banned things and seek them out. Therefore, hidden news and broadcasts are definitely heard with more impact through social media or other means. Also, if there is a ban, there must be a crime. Why would someone who doesn't see themselves as guilty fear the public hearing the news?
