Suitable Storage for Tires
The storage conditions for tires are also among the factors that require attention. If the tires are to be stored for a long time, they should be placed at a minimum height of 10 cm from the ground. They must be stored vertically. Their positions should be changed slightly once a month. This change will prevent deformation. The air pressure of tires that are not used for a long time should be checked regularly. The ideal pressure level recommended by the tire manufacturer should be maintained. With the end of the winter months, winter tires need to be stored. Considering tire prices, the importance of proper storage will be understood. With proper storage, winter tires can be healthily protected until the following winter. Before removing the tires from the vehicle, their fitted positions should be noted down. The following winter, with these notes in mind, it will be possible to switch the positions of the front and rear tires. This will ensure even wear. Tires should be washed with water and then thoroughly dried. If there are any stones or foreign materials in the tire treads, they should be removed. The area where the tires are stored should be a place that does not receive light. A cool storage location with moderate temperature should be preferred. Substances like oil and fuel cause serious damage to tires. Therefore, such substances should not be present in the storage area.
